Our modular assembly method enables to stack several single shaft and/or multi shaft probes on top of each other to create a true 3D probe array. This can be stacks of several different shaft lengths resulting in slanted probe matricies.

The 3D array can also contain shafts that contain shafts with pointy tips that significantly reduces the dimpling effect during implantation. We developed a novel, sterilisation compatible inserter which protects the 3D array during shipping and handling.

The array is connected with 3-cm-long ultra-flexible cables that lead towards a compact connector block containing the connectors.
